Toronto Region Sustainability Program e-Announcement - March 2010

Call for Speakers!
14th Canadian Pollution Prevention Roundtable

The Canadian Centre for Pollution Prevention (C2P2) is accepting speaker submissions for the 2010 Canadian Pollution Prevention Roundtable (CPPR). This year's theme is Shrinking the Environmental Footprint. We're looking for P2 experts, practitioners and enthusiasts from a range of sectors to share their knowledge, experience, successes and challenges. If you have a fascinating P2 project, innovation, knowledge-base or inspiring story to share, we want to hear from you!

C2P2 is currently requesting presentations that fit into one or more of the following topics:

  • Shrinking the Environmental Footprint (e.g. carbon, energy, water-use, toxics, biodiversity impacts)
  • Shrinking the Organizational Footprint (e.g. industry, SMEs, business parks, universities, schools)
  • P2 and Sustainability (e.g. sustainable consumption; Canadian society and sustainability)
  • SMEs and P2 (e.g. the business case for P2; case studies of P2 leaders; P2 resources and support for SMEs; Tools for the Tool Box)
  • Innovative Source Reduction Technologies (e.g. adoption; metrics & measurement; technology diffusion)
  • Regulatory P2 (e.g. navigating P2 regulations for SMEs in Ontario; P2 a strategy for environmental protection)
  • Source reduction methods (e.g. eco-design; green chemistry)
  • Social Media and P2 (e.g. corporate social responsibility; online marketing and communications)
  • CCME Pollution Prevention Awards (highlights of past winners; looking forward)
  • Other
