Innovative Remediation Solutions Workshop - Pacific

October 28, 2009, Vancouver, BC
Westin Bayshore Hotel - Stanley Park Room 3 (2nd Floor)

Innovative Canadian Remediation Solutions | Technology Vendor Presentations | Federal Updates | Case Studies | Tradeshow-Marketplace | Breakout Session | Networking

In 2003, the Federal government initiated the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP), with a budget of $3.5 billion over 15 years, to manage risks associated with federal contaminated sites. FCSAP has identified over 4,500 sites in the Pacific and Yukon Region, which are available in the Federal Contaminated Sites Inventory (FCSI). http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/fcsi-rscf/default.aspx

Custodians of contaminated sites are interested in creating awareness of their remediation issues and understanding more about Canadian solutions, most particularly new and/or innovative treatments/applications.

The Pacific and Yukon Region Workshop will provide vendors with an opportunity to profile their technologies, discuss site issues faced by custodians and build collaborations to address remediation challenges and barriers. Most importantly, this workshop will facilitate awareness of the availability of innovative Canadian remediation solutions.
