Performance Verification Supports Business Growth for EcoLibra
EcoLibra Systems of Saskatoon is proud to announce that the Village of Chitek Lake, Saskatchewan has selected EcoLibra's Wastewater Treatment and Recovery System as their solution to exceed current Government of Saskatchewan wastewater treatment standards. The installation of the EcoLibra wastewater treatment system will enable small municipalities in Canada to meet the more stringent environmental requirements expected in the next few years. The EcoLibra system is an economically attractive and environmentally sustainable wastewater solution for small municipalities, rural communities and agri-businesses.
EcoLibra credits the Canadian Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program for designing and executing a robust testing and verification protocol to confirm the performance efficiency of the EcoLibra Resource Recovery System under various operating conditions. "The ETV verification was integral in the success of our market entry across Canada and over-seas", according to company President, Jason Tratch.
EcoLibra Systems Inc. would like to thank the ETV Canada team for their high level of expertise, customer service and business knowledge (ETV Canada is an operating division of OCETA). The ETV Canada team helped EcoLibra address the challenges of wastewater treatment by providing technology verification services and helping to establish customer confidence.
The Resource Recovery System, or R2S, is EcoLibra's wastewater treatment system that treats municipal sewage, livestock manure and industrial wastewaters. It recovers valuable, bacteria-free nutrient-rich biosolids and water. The biosolids can be packaged and sold as fertilizer and the water can be safely recycled back into various agricultural and industrial operations such as irrigation, floriculture, greenhouse operations and aquaculture. The treatment system eliminates the production of greenhouse gases and generates annual carbon emission credits that can provide a new potential revenue stream for the community. The system is flexible, has the smallest footprint among current technologies and eliminates the need for a lagoon. The R2S has received all required regulatory approvals in Saskatchewan and is now being marketed globally.
Based in Saskatoon, Canada, EcoLibra has decades of international experience and expertise in wastewater treatment, nutrient recovery and project management involving different types of wastewater systems.
