Performance Measurement and Verification Partnership

Environment Canada hosted a national meeting via webcast in September 2009 to launch the inaugural Performance Measurement and Verification Partnership (PMVP).

The PMVP is a network for information-sharing on best practices and new developments in environmental performance measurement, benchmarking and verification. Participants include various representatives from all levels of government across Canada and the private sector. The PMVP was established following a series of national stakeholder consultations organized by Environment Canada during the summer of 2009. OCETA's ETV Canada operating division participated in these meetings.

The PMVP webcast included an overview of the Canadian ETV Program, case studies from the Governments of Québec and Ontario, a presentation from Sustainable Development Technology Canada, and a Canadian ETV program client testimonial from Global Emissions Systems, Inc.

The next PMVP meeting is scheduled for March 23, 2010 in Vancouver prior to GLOBE 2010.
