ETV Canada Verification Reaps Rewards for Global Emissions Systems Inc.
Global Emission Systems Inc. (GESi®) is a Canadian owned company based in Whitby, Ontario that specializes in the development, design, and manufacturing of emissions control technology. The company is focused on developing, testing, and marketing verifiable GESi® technologies that dramatically reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. GESi® also facilitates current Cap and Trade carbon credit trading regimes available on the Chicago Climate and Montreal Climate Exchanges, based on the adoption of GHG emission reduction technology.
 GESi® currently sells its technology solution to 15 Canadian municipalities from Whistler, B.C. to Toronto. The technology is scalable and reduces GHG emissions from most commercially available fuels on any internal combustion engine (spark, compression or turbine) by up to 96 percent.
GESi® also sells its technology to the film industry for their trucks and generators to reduce toxic emissions on location and to companies providing indoor material handling (forklifts) and ice arena equipment.
GESi® approached ETV Canada to seek verification of the emissions reductions of its catalytic muffler for ride-on mower applications. This was based on testing performed at Intertek Carnot Emissions Testing in Texas, which involved testing the performance of the catalytic muffler against a standard market muffler on a ride-on mower.
The response to the ETV verification of GESi®'s product has been dramatic. Approximately 30 government agencies and private companies who require ETV verification as part of their purchasing policy are now in negotiations with GESi® to purchase their product.
