Recent International Activities:

• Addressing the groundwater arsenic contamination crisis in the country of Bangladesh by assisting the Government of Bangladesh in establishing and implementing an environmental technology verification program for arsenic removal technologies. • Identifying the environmental impacts and mitigation needs for a large, integrated urban development and artisan industry modernization project in Morocco.
• Advising the European Union on how to institute an environmental performance verification system for member nations.
• Working in cooperation with the Government of the United States (USEPA) to develop an internationally harmonized approach to environmental technology verification.
• In cooperation with SNC-Lavalin, assisted the Confederation of Indian Industry in developing programs in waste exchange and in the dissemination of knowledge related to the identification, adaptation, development and verification of environmentally sound technologies which address Indian environmental priorities.
• Assisted the Government of China in the early development of an environmental technology verification program.
• Provided technical assistance to Government and industry in Vietnam and Cambodia, in pollution prevention, waste management and overall environmental management.
• Advised the World Bank on how to integrate environmental management into the design, development and operation of industrial estates in Bangladesh.
